For more than twenty years Abrys has been informing and transferring technical knowledge from the area of environmental protection. In 1991 a magazine "Przegląd Komunalny" [Communal Review] was established which is regarded today as the most popular monthly in the sector. The growing interest in environmental protection has brought about publishing further magazines starting 2001, that is "Recykling" [Recycling] and "Czysta Energia" [Clean Energy], which complement the subject matter presented in "Przegląd Komunalny".

Two years later, in 2003 a decision was made to publish a magazine for the water supply and sewerage treatment sector and this is how the magazine "Wodociągi-Kanalizacja" [Water-Sewage] was born. Not only waste management, renewable energy sources or water-sewerage management are issues discussed in the magazines. From 2007 on also the subject of urban space is tackled by "Zieleń Miejska" [Urban Greenery]. From 2009 on Abrys publishes the "Ecomanager" magazine, addressed to the industry and tackling the topics related to environmental protection.

In result of striving for comprehensive solutions, Abrys monthlies have become leaders in the market of sectoral magazines. Their expertise and subject matter were appreciated several times by various sectoral organizations. The Editors quickly gained great experience resulting in new initiatives every year, such as editor seminars, sectoral debates or trade fair meetings. Therefore Abrys is known not only for its publishing activity, but also for organizing meetings with readers and other people who know the true meaning of environmental protection. Currently updated topics tailored to the needs of the market makes Abrys monthlies a reliable source of information.

Abrys publishes also:

  • The yearly "Leksykon Techniki Komunalnej" [Communal Technique Lexicon], that is a catalogue of machines and devices applied in waste management, in the sector of renewable energy sources or public space management.
  • Cyclic special inserts which are an answer to the needs of the market and suggestions of readers and at the same time addressing the issue of environmental protection in Polish cities and regions.
